NSPRI celebrates International Women's Day

Nigerian Women in Agricultural Research for Development (NiWARD) NSPRI branch recently commemorated International Women's Day with the theme "Inspire Inclusion." The event featured key figures such as the Executive Director of Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute (NSPRI), Professor Lateef O. Sanni and Dr. Sijuwade Adebayo from the University of Ilorin. Dr. Sijuwade Adebayo, the keynote speaker, emphasized the importance of motivating young Nigerian women and highlighted the achievements of inspirational women.

 Prof. Sanni praised women's role in shaping Nigeria and urged them to be bold, resilient, and supportive of each other. Sanni testified to the fact that when you train a man, you train an individual, but when you train a woman, you train a nation. Sanni encouraged those in attendance to persevere and believe in themselves. NSPRI's celebration of International Women's Day underscores the ongoing efforts to empower and recognize women's contributions globally.
