NSPRI Celebrates Dual Recognition at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike Innovation Conference
The Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute (NSPRI) received significant recognition at the second Research and Innovation Fair/Conference held on February 26, 2025 at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU). The event witnessed the presentation of two distinguished awards to NSPRI, reflecting the outstanding impact and contributions of the Institute to research and development in Nigeria.
Professor Lateef Oladimeji Sanni, the Executive Director of NSPRI, was honored with the "Innovative Leadership in Research and Development" award, acknowledging his exemplary leadership and forward-thinking approach to agricultural research. The award was received on his behalf by Dr. Mandu E. Inana, the Zonal Coordinator of NSPRI, Port Harcourt Zonal office who represented the Executive Director at the ceremony. In addition to the individual recognition of Professor Sanni, the Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute itself was presented with the "Innovative Research Support Organisation Award," showcasing the role of the Institute in advancing agricultural storage technologies and research methodologies across Nigeria.
