NSPRI trains Researchers on Digital Tools for effective Research
The Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute (NSPRI) held a two-day intensive training session that focused on enhancing information literacy and advanced research skills among its young staff. The event was initiated by the Information and Documentation Department (Library) under the astute leadership of the Institute Executive Director, Prof. Lateef O. Sanni. The training was aimed at equipping young researchers with the necessary skills to effectively navigate the vast landscape of digital research tools.

NSPRI Collaborates IITA on Transformational Workshop
Nigeria Stored Products Research Institute (NSPRI) has Collaborated its long time partner, International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) on exceptional capacity building of their work force. The two-day transformational workshop held at NSPRI headquarters, Ilorin, on 6th-7th May,2024, set a new benchmark for staff development. Speaking at the workshop, the Executive Director of NSPRI, Professor Sanni Lateef Oladimeji said that staff should be encouraged to embrace a research ethos that dovetails scientific inquiry with commercial viability.

Senate Committee on Agricultural Colleges and Institutions Chair Tasks NSPRI and other Relevant Agencies on Postharvest Solutions to Food Losses
The Senate Committee on Agricultural Colleges and Institutions chairman, Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire has tasked Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute and other relevant agencies on postharvest solutions to food losses in Nigeria. The senator while speaking through the vice chairman of the committee, Senator Titus Zam Tartenger at the 1st Postharvest Connect Conference and Exhibition held at NAF Conference Centre, on 18th-19th April, 2024 in Abuja organised by Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute (NSPRI),titled: Scaling Appropriate Postharvest Solutions for Sustainable Food and Nutrition Security” said the conference was a clear commitment and rare event to Mr. President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
